Yes, another month maybe? It needs to be a very gentle/slow easing of lockdown, particularly if there is to be no "reversal" of these changes.

Yes, I really really hope they don't simply repeat the mistakes from the first two lockdowns, especially when we're so close. I'm going nowhere until 3 weeks after 2nd vaccination. It's been a year, a few more weeks won't hurt.

To suggest there may not be another lockdown at some point in the future is wishful thinking, people are people and many will circumvent/bend any controls put in place to control the virus spread eg we have people coming thru Dublin (where there are no isolation restrictions on travellers) from redline countries (which require self isolation and forced hotel isolation) to circumvent the UK isolation controls........they know exactly what they are doing and you would need a massive Border/Police enforcement regime to try and catch all those that try to slip under the wire.......they are being totally selfish and undermine everything everyone else is doing to control this pandemic...........eg a recent case of Irish based citizens using dental appointments in Tenerife as a legal justification to travel to Tenerife has been exposed and the Republic has a very strict you can only travel upto 5 kilometres movement restriction.

Same here...nothing until after 3 weeks beyond second vaccination. I really do wonder at the blatant rule bending which even some of our friends are doing. Every day on the news is another ridiculous example of selfish indifference and complacency, and I feel sorry for the Police who have to sort these idiots out. The fact that daily infections are hovering at around 10,000 shows something isn't working.

Further outbreaks and localised lockdowns are inevitable, especially with summer holidays and the inevitable beach crowding which we saw last year but may be a lot worse this year if foreign travel remains off limits.

You only have to look at the number of raves/"private parties" being raided plus people being sent home across the country from the likes of Bourton on the Water to see that the selfish will continue despite constant news &c. updates...

Don't worry - according the the papers, they're pushing for full re-opening of schools on 8th March. 500,000 teachers, 1,100,000 support staff and 9,000,000 school children all back into the workplace with no realistic chance of social distancing :What could possibly go wrong?
