POST LOCKDOWN GETAWAY.
Touring Group have a post lockdown getaway planned at the end of May.
The trip is to The Forest of Dean at a really nice 8 roomed hotel where we plan to have all the rooms.
We have booked two separate three day breaks. It looks like there will be one or two rooms available.
Option 1 31st May to 2nd June ( three nights)
Option 2 3rd June to 5th June ( three nights)
We are expecting this will comply with Welsh Govt Covid rules at the time.
The hotel is in the village of Tintern near Tintern Abbey. All meals ( by a Michelin Chef) will be taken at the hotel. We plan to run out over The Brecons, drive the Top Gear road at Bethlehem and visit Owls Nest diner. Covid rules in force will be applied. No deposit needed but you will need to contact me first to see if the spaces are still available. This is a good chance to meet other Touring Group owners.

Will we be able to travel in and out of Wales?

I can already argue that driving the M3W is a fully distanced method of exercise that complies with the regulations (it’s not travel if you don’t stop!) but am unsure about the Welsh/English border...

We did a similar trip last Sept ( in between lockdowns) I am estimating how the Welsh relax their rules based on last year, the hotel think we will be fine. No deposit to pay and if we have to we will move it back.
