Omega Speedmaster for me every time, so easy to see the hands whatever the light levels.

To read the time a 3 hand Swatch is good enough.

Speedmaster? Not all models got the Moonwatch design. Some are less easy to read. Some have no hands at all.

Generally I would go for the Hublot, but I'm not a big fan of skeleton watch faces that make the watch harder to read the time, it's prime function in life.

Absolutely nothing wrong with a Zenith El Primero movement a great movement used by prestige brands like Rolex, Rolex just slowed the oscillations down to 28K and removed the date function as in my Zenith movement Rolex 16523

I'm a little. biased on this question because I don't like Hublot that much. But I love Zenith as a brand very much...the beautiful movements and also watch models and the tradition and classic innovative competence of one of the very great and valuable brands. For me it is very charming that sometimes quite normal people (people without watch virus infection) can't know or appreciate Zenith as a brand very well. But maybe that's the case in Germany? or only with the few people I know?

BTW I am not a big skeleton fan, so everyone has different preferences. I wonder why the El Primero doesn't have the calendar between 4 and 5 o'clock? as I usually know them, the model on the photo isn't a tourbillon, is it? or does Zenith omit the calendar on skeleton models for aesthetic/ optical reasons?

Definately the Hublot however, not that model. Try searching for the Big Bang Morgan edition. They do turn up occasionally at around £8K

I also do love the Zenith because of the technical features and the history.
This El Primero Defy has no date while other El Primero models have. A reason for eliminatimg the date funktion may have been for a deeper skeleton view into the clockwork.
A most striking argumrnt for the Zenith El Primero is the 1/100 sec chrono funktion. The watch has got a second powerhouse for that purpose. I know no other mechanical wrist watch with such function.
While most are fascinated by the nice design and bling of Hublot you are raising technical arguments. Technology versus style... that was exactly a reason for asking the audience for an opinion. I think the Hublot is great but Zenith may be the more interesting watch.

I'm not a fan of skeleton watches, my daily is my Breitling Chronospace (the original) bought in 1986. Weekends an Omega Seamaster Vancouver winter olympics 2010 edition. I love it's bright white face and red bezel, matches my Morgan .....almost

Skeleton watches are technically impressive masterpieces, but I´m more concerned about reading the time at a quick glance, so I´ll stick to my 33year old trusty Constellation and my 2 year old Christopher Ward

I’m taking both, not being bigsy, but at that price, I can easily afford it!
