Good to hear that you had fun from first second.
290hp are a lot for 1000kg - I agree. They are even more for a platform designed in the forties...
So please - don`t get bitten - as it bites;-)

Hi Jan,
Welcome to TM! I also have a Roadster since about a year ago. It is a 2019 model. I have not been driving it so much yet since I am trying to sort out the famous rev hang problem first. Hopefully there will be more driving this year.......Lovely car!!
Cheers
/David

Hi David,
yes, there is rev hang. But for me that‘s not such a huge problem. The Roadster is an extreme experience. Really quick. Taking a bit time for gear change with „feeling“ for the clutch there is no problem for me. I didn‘t expect a perfect car in all aspects. I never drove such a car. Even Porsche etc. Is always a compromise. So I really love to drive the Morgan 👍
Best regards,
Jan

David, Cain at Wolf Performance has a rev hang solution by changing the flywheel. The factory had an ECU fix that I have but they stopped selling it. As Jan says take the changes slowly. You can see how bad it is by taking your foot off the throttle with the clutch depressed and watch the rev meter. John

Cain is also working on a short shift conversion for the standard remote gearchange to complete the package.

Jan, Yes you can of course drive it as it is but such a waste in having a car you have to drive drive like it is broken and have to wait several seconds every gear change and/or change gear at low RPMs. It just kills any type of spirited driving I think. I also see it as quite dangerous as a throttle that hangs a couple of seconds after you release the throttle very soon can get you into big problems if you drift or loose the rear in a corner.... Very scary!! But we are all different and want different things out of our cars....
John and Richard.
Thank you for the information about Wolf performance. I will keep that in mind. Maybe I need to look into a lighter flywheel as well. Do you now if Wolf is doing any ECU mapping/tuning? I guess he have to if he is changing out the flywheel??
I have already changed the ECU and are running now with an unlocked Mustang ECU. I am working with a guy that are trying different mappings to optimize both performance as well as to reduce the rev hang. But it has been a lot of trial and error during last year and we are not 100% ready yet.... The winter and snow came between!
Regarding a short shift conversion I do not see that as necessary yet as I quite like the feeling in the original gearshift, but maybe that will change when we get away from the rev hang issue. There are several short shift kits available for the Mustang.
Cheers
David

David Don‘t worry, David. For me it‘s very interesting to discuss rev hang. I suppose my rev hang isn’t such worse as yours. That’s what experienced users say. There must be differences. I love to drive my Roadster very sporty in the hills. The region I live gives a lot of opportunities. Believe me. I try to find the margins. And it’s a lot of fun. So feel free to discuss here. It‘s not my thread😉👋
Best regards,
Jan
