Wow im shocked at these comments, i dont have a racist bone in my body, im married to a woman from a different race group, maybe my 65 year old brain and living outside the UK For 40 odd years in both Africa and Asia has thickened my skin a little, sorry im not a liberal bunny hugger no offence intended

Ray i think you got it the fibre washer has come loose, I have also tried 3 different new bulbs so that is not the issue.

I wasn't initially too comfortable when I read the topic, but it does means ignorance of a subject, so is used in a self-deprecating way.
I just discussed it with my Malaysian Indian wife who does not find it offensive.

I agree its an earthing issue either the earth cable connection or as happened to me a short occurring in the bulb holder. As you live in a hot dry climate the fabric insulator can dry out and shrink causing the earth to short, this happened to me when moving from the UK to California. Well not me personally but the Morgan

I believe some cars might have aftermarket fuses added for the indicators to protect the undersize tracks on the dash pcb. Probably located behind the dash in the loom next to the pcb.

There is no place for latent racism in todays world, however comfortable the author feels.
