I've just put a deposit down and collecting in April a 2005 Roadster, this is more than just dipping my toe in the Morgan water, more akin to diving in naked! I've never owned one before, I have been in a 1981 4/4 though and had many topless cars, I'm already planning upgrades/changes which may mean lots of daft questions.

Welcome to the forum Ian, I guess there is something about a pseudo vintage motoring experience that has grabbed you as it has done others who then set about trying to modify their chosen Morgan to make it perform to their more modern expectations..... Mine..? Well it too has been modernised to some degree (-: There are no daft questions, just lots to learn made easier by asking folk who have asked the same questions long before you arrived. Hope you enjoy your Morgan and the time you care to spend here..Yeah, good choice of Morgan too..

Ian
There are no daft questions here , but sometimes people who are newer to our cars make silly mistakes by not asking. There is a lot of experience here about Morgans, and most folk are very happy to pass own their wisdom.
The Series 1 Roadster (I assume 2005 is Series 1?) has a very devoted following , and in many ways is the pick of the range, so you have made a good choice.
The first upgrade I would plan would be the modified sump to give extra ground clearance , especially if you live in an area infested with speed bumps.
