The Series 1 Roadster (I assume 2005 is Series 1?) has a very devoted following , and in many ways is the pick of the range, so you have made a good choice.
The first upgrade I would plan would be the modified sump to give extra ground clearance , especially if you live in an area infested with speed bumps.
Yes Series 1, and yes that would be the first change, also thinking about brake reaction bars and remote greasers.

All good choices. The sump should be #1. Also consider anti tramp bars & upgrading to new rear suspension hangers bolted to the rear drums. MMC upgraded the hanger design as it can fail. Mine failed on one sided after spirited touring down to Naples & Sorrento. I had it welded up then replaced both sides. Here is the parts book extract. A warm welcome from Norway. The sump is already mentioned, a must. Brake reaction bars will calm down the front end, are cheap and easy to fit. Remote greasing is very nice, but it can lead you to not going down under the car to check. I have it and am very happy, but it takes some self discipline.... But the mod that havs given me most pleasure and car safety?
Changing all three OEM flat mirrors for stanless steel convex ones, including the one on the screen. Both functional and nice looking. Vast improvement of rear vision.
Anyway, take your time, drive your car, get to know it. Read TalkMorgan, GoMog and Morganatica. Join a club, get to know the crowd, see in what ways they have improved and personalized their cars. Then you have a good fundament for your choices.
