The spacers were originally fitted to mine with the original bolts, I had to get longer bolts and also tap the holes deeper as one of the threads was stripping.

I dont like the spacers in between the motor housing and the cam cover because of air and rain water.
Unfortunately I dont really see and understand the venting solution on the photos above…did S&S cut some slots into the cam cover…could somebody post detailed photos how the final or actual solution of the vented cam cover is made?
Icould do the job on a milling machine by myself…but I would like to do no mistakes.

I stand corrected, the photo of it is of the original and not the one that has machined slots. Send me a PM with your email address and I will send you a photo of the cover.

@ LightSpeed - good idea... I just looked for images on google and found this intersting way of venting inside the transparent cover: https://www.given.it/en/prodotto/carter-distribuzione-x-wedge-ss-e-crs-duu/I will check if I can do it in a mostlikely similar way!

As well as the two slots on the underside of the raised bars on the front of the cover there is a slot cut in the base of the cover, again out of normal sight. The cars that have the slots in the cover from manufacture still have the spacer washers fitted.
