But you can add a visible email address in User Profile Ian. One of the reasons I put a mail forwarding address in, not one of several actual email addresses. Ah, so you can, that's a feature I hadn't used. There is a lot of it about Graham  And nothing wrong with that! Leave the full time jobs to those that need them  Ah, dumb me! I'll add that. I'd forgotten about it until Ian's post about email address not being visible As you and Rich already noted - the forum won't send you any emails (except for a birthday message!). This also means the password recovery process doesn't work either.

on another note but still related to Talk Morgan website every time I login I get an alert saying that it is an insecure site.... perhaps the site moderators could look into this

on another note but still related to Talk Morgan website every time I login I get an alert saying that it is an insecure site.... perhaps the site moderators could look into this It has always shown that warning as far as I can recall - it probably has to, you should meet some of the desperadoes on here car dealers, bankers etc... It doesn't seem to bother anyone else on here but if you want it changed feel free to contact Simon via PM but bear in mind he is an extremely busy family man and runs the site out of the goodness of his heart for the Morgan community.

That's weird, I've never had that when logging on to TM. Have had that warning occasionally on some other sites.

I have my browser security settings set pretty tight which could explain this maybe ..

Its not "secure" as the web url is "http://www.talkmorgan.com
It it were "secure" then it would be https://www.talkmorgan.com
This site doesn't need to be "secure" as you are not completing financial transactions through it
Always check that if you are carrying out financial transactions through a website - make sure the web address begins with https
There is a cost (monetary) to having a https website
