Yes, a fantastic chap. Part of motor racing royalty, which is no mean feat for a non driver. I can just guess at the catch up conversation with James Hunt, about today's racing today!!

I am lucky enough to have met both. I was working in Hungary back in the mid 80s and was in Budapest when the first GP of the modern era was held at the newly built Hungaroring in 1986. Both stayed in my hotel along with the Ferrari and Benetton teams. I had breakfast with Murray on the Monday morning and had a lovely hour in his company. I of course had the +8 with me in Hungary and I raced James in his Opel Corsa out of the underground garage to the front door of the hotel on the Friday. He won (well it was a rental) and was astonished I driven there in "That Car". I also met Sterilng Moss that weekend as I had managed to obtain a FOCA pass for the race and we spent the Sunday afternoon in conversation in the hospitality area above the pits.

As I wrote on another forum:
Met him once at an Autosport show at the NEC. A genuinely nice gent, with an interest in lots of things, not just motorsport. RIP Murray!
