Most good but for different reasons.

1960's - got born, remember seeing a BRG MGB with MGB06? NSW yellow with black number plates thinking that is what I want when I grow up. For some reason I loved that yellow and thought it looked so good on a green car.
1970's - got bullied a bit at school but not too bad. Not a great decade but my favourite music is certainly from that Decade.
1980's - Got licence, started year 11 in 1980 and that meant going to College, most annoying kids dropped out end of year 10 so really enjoyed year 11 and 12 a lot more, also got good at guitar and fitted in with most people much better. Did computing degree that I enjoyed, aw my first Morgan and was told I could buy a new one but there is a 5 year waiting list, bought a house and interest rates went to 18% but boss was happy with my work so worked lots of overtime and paid it off December 1989, also started playing in bands around 1986 earning some reasonable money and having a great time around the music scene.
1990's - Bought nearly new MX5, Got married, sold my house and bought a block of land and built a house, had my son, felt broke most of it due to house going well over budget and hard to earn more money as started working for private companies, sold MX5 in 1997 and bought a very boring cheap car.
2000's - Managed to pay off house in 2001 but realised a Morgan was still too expensive to afford but bought a Silvia convertible in 2002, coached sons soccer and tennis and every kid thought the Silvia was so cool.
2010's - Son turned 13 in 2010 and started high school, a good kid most of the time but I preferred the previous decade when he was younger and he didn't has so much homework to nag him about. Re-joined government in 2010 to sort out my super before retiring end 2018 and soon after became a grandfather.
2020 - Returned to work, Silvia got written off. Earning a lot of money now with both pension and consulting and decided on a frontline MGB.

All different - 1980's probably for playing in bands when music was good and probably 2000's for being the cool dad with the convertible car.

Didn't really enjoy 2020, got given heaps of work so sat at my desk at home during COVID, designing and coding late into the night and really lost a lot of fitness. I do like my work and work is keen for me to keep going but I think once the Frontline MGB is paid for I should probably quit and put my health above more money. Maybe if I retire end of 2021 I could have 8 years before getting too old to get fit again, enjoy the green MGB (unfortunately I will have white with blue number plates), enjoy my grandchild and potentially have another really good decade before 2030 turns up.

It's got to be the late '60's for me. Single, care free with just enough money to enjoy myself but not enough sense to realise it was all going to end.

Two decades in particular, the 1970s. and the 2010s

In the 70s I Graduated from Uni with a good degree, met Caroline and got married, had a great job, bought our first house, amazing music,
In the 2010s we sold the business I'd set up with a US partner in 2002, paid off the Mortgage, bought the Roadster, both kids in good secure jobs and I was employed by the people who bought the business, so stuffed the pension SIPP, then retired.

There was a lot of good stuff in every decade, but those two stand out.

Late 80's, early 90's. Cars, Bikes, Women, Music, University in Cambridge, full Grant, few little odd jobs to supplement the drink and drug habits. Absolute Heaven.

Enjoyed it so much, after 10 years of corporate drudgery, went back to Uni in the early 2000's and did it all again. Still lots of Cars and Bikes, but a bit less women, music, drink and drugs (although did meet my partner there). Few odd jobs, but this time to pay for the cars and bikes.(plus about 16K of student loans)

Never had (or wanted) kids to spoil the party.
