You are dead right with that one things like the # key and other elements are often difficult to get on US and other language keyboards. If it is a US English Keyboard then 99% of people will not be able to generate a £ without being a tech dinosaur. (Hold down the ALT key and type 0 1 6 3 on the Num Keypad). The spilling and grummer has no excuse if you really do this as a job though. I am guessing that the IT guy rights' the message's for them as well.   Apparently the inclusion of errors is a deliberate strategy to ensure only stupid people respond as they are much easier to scam. Well it must work, because apparently lots do

Apparently the inclusion of errors is a deliberate strategy to ensure only stupid people respond as they are much easier to scam.
I heard that stated in an episode of QI a while ago. I'm not convinced that spelling and grammar errors are anything other than incompetence but the filtering effect may be a consequence. Whenever I see these scams I always look to see how many mistakes I can find, there are still a few in the above that haven't been mentioned yet.

Maybe they have legal advisors and the errors are a defence strategy

Funny, Just got a message from my iPhone to say my password for Talk Morgan has been leaked and my account has been compromised. & to change my password. This came up when attempting to log in to talk morgan from my iPhone. I am typing this on my iMac and have not received the same message. Any ideas ?
