Hello Morganeers,

my throttle cable (Plus8 3.9 1993) can only be operated jerkily, oiling doesn't help anymore, so I want to replace it. Does anyone know the Land Rover spare part number? I suspect it's NTC6723. But it could also be NTC1054 or NTC4842. They look very similar.

Greetings from the Sauerland (Germany)

If you cannot find an exact replacement, then this one from car Builder Solutions worked well in my Plus 8 (1980). It's actually 1.2 m long not 12m!

Brownbaker knows of a company that makes bespoke cables at a very reasonable price, perhaps he will be along shortly.

I have just looked at my spare in the original packaging and I can confirm that it is NTC 1054.

Good luck in obtaining one, you might find that the custom build option is better and cheaper (the price marked on mine was GBP70!)

Hello Andy,

thank you for your answer. I think your car is RHD?

Would you please measure the length of the outside cable?

I have to check because mine is LHD.

Hello Phil,

thank you!

Seems to be the right one.

I'll try NTC6723

Hi Guys,

I ordered a NTC6723 aftermarket at (better so say "from"?) a German LR -parts dealer. It is signed with "Britparts" and 20cm longer than the original but it fits and works. Thanks to all who helped! This afternoon the V8 has to do his work again :-)
