All,

I just wanted to alert the group that, in doing some repairs on the fuel lines near the engine, I noticed that the bundle of wires and lines going up through the base of the cooling fan/heat cover to the engine was being damaged by the cover. In fact, one of the electrical wires (sitting bundled tightly with the fuel lines) was stripped at the point of contact. It might be worth some precautionary padding/wrapping to prevent this from happening. I can't imagine fuel and stripped wires are the best combination.

Best,

Gabriel

I grouped those cables and hoses together and wrapped a tough plastic bottle material around it as an armor shield and zip tied it in place.

This was found by a few a couple of years ago. http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/552279/more-fuel-pipes-to-check It is a good idea to cut the bottom edge of the fan housing away to give better clearance for the fuel hoses and wires as well as protecting them better. High pressure fuel, bare electrical wires and a hot engine.......what could possibly go wrong???
