The water pump on my Ford Kent 1500 is noisy and I can't get a new one around here. Does anybody know if the water pump from the 1600 Ford Crossflow engine does fit the earlier non-crossflow?

Is it this one? If so it's possible. Seem to be plenty of pre-crossflow ones about though.

Unfortunately not, tmg, but thanks for your bother. If the pump on ebay would fit your engine this means that crossflow and pre-crossflow are not the same. The one for the crossflow would have been available cheap on the Swiss "ebay" (ricardo).

I could have explained that better! What I meant was that I couldn't rule out the one on eBay fitting my crossflow, but I really can't see enough of it to be sure.

Graham, in my (not very new) catalogue Burton only list the Crossflows. I will check on the Internet. I tried to avoid ordering from the UK because p&p are often more than the part itself.
