Well, money won't get much cheaper to borrow than it is now and for the forseeable future.
Or a couple or three of you buy it in a syndicate just like planes, it can work well. I hadn't thought of that. That is a clever idea. I'd be happy to maintain a share if such a syndicate existed and a suitable contract could be drawn up. My wife has no interest in going out in it, so it would be great to have a buddy to share the experiences with.

Based on the discussion about Plus 8 pricing the "investment" we made in November 2014 of £65,000 to buy Tarka may actually have been an investment. The view here is that a tidy, well sorted Plus 8 is worth north of £85,000, so that is an increase of £20,000 over 6.5 years, or £3,000 a year. Put it another way, in increase of 4.6% a year. A further perspective is that the increasing value of the car has paid for all the running costs for 6.5 years....!!
SO, if one can by a good AeroMax it should appreciate at 4% to 5% a year, which is almost as good as my SIPP.

I really should change the title of this thread to 'Absence makes the heart grow fonder'. I had been in discussion regarding an SOR and it almost certainly would have sold, but decided I really could not let the car go at present.
After a lengthy period of time spent at MMC, a full service and a list of minor inconveniences addressed (wallet emptied), I collected the Aeromax last Friday. I thoroughly enjoyed the drive home, with my best friend in pursuit driving the Audi RS4. I haven't managed to take any new pictures but I'll get around to that very soon.
Upcoming plans are to take her to the Cylinder Club in July (photo opp), and possibly the local Morgan hangout when it is next on. Due to the imminent arrival of another child in late July, that may be it for my Summer adventures...

That's a good decision!! The Max is an era defining car for Morgan, and I doubt anything will ever match it again.
If I had had the money and garage space available back then I would have had a Max, without question. Despite not being a convertible, I think the shape is the best resolved of all the Aero shaped Morgans.
