Sooo...
After the energy and the confidence that Taffy gave me I did a similar job.

The door has three section, upper middle and low.
I only removed the middle and the low.
You need to start from the middle.
The middle is kept in place by a plastic stud on the door side, just under the locking system, and yes. Three velcro (Hook And Loop) pieces. Velcro. Nothing else.
Once removed this (be prepared to re-glue the velcro on the metal bar on the door since the glue in my case was "gone"), you can concentrate on the lower part.
Easy. Another stud on the side, two or thee on the bottom and one close to the door hinge, where the speaker is.
On top, on the upper part of the speaker grill, on the left side, there is a tiny screw (you can see it in the last pic). That's all.

In my case the speaker was a JBL GTO. Looks like they mounted what they had in stock. It seems that in my case, there was a custom frame around the speaker.

In case you have doubts on your chassis number... you can find yours randomly around. In my case written with a marker on a piece of paper tape laugh

All this since I was hoping that the speaker was rotten, while I guess that simply the audio system I guess is crap.

Whilst the speakers are out Ale, you could add some sound deadening mat like Dynamat or similar behind on the inside of the doors. Might help to get a bit more noise out of the front of the speakers.

Not sure if there is lot of space. I was checking that, but I gave up since to do it properly I should have removed the upper part as well and play too close to the window mechanism.

Ale you highlight something that has been bugging me since I got the Coupe but have just not had time to sort. To be fair to the car does have a secondary noise system which is pretty good juggle

It is a moderate head unit. Apparently there is an amp already fitted, I find this a little surprising as the bass is really tubby and uncontrolled to my ear. I replaced the rear 6x9 for some real quality units but it remains wobbly at best. The door speaker size is slightly awkward but the door does seem to make that the issue.

I know the Coupe is a bit of a metal echo chamber so I figure NVH will always be a challenge but there is definitely room for improvement.

I replaced the factory radio with a Becker Mexico just for the look.
Not sure if the car has an amp fitted somewhere.
I am happiesh with the rear speakers (just to give you a flavour on my -low- musical ear).
A friend was telling me that this could make things better, somehow.
If we find them in europe could make sense to try.
