So today we got back from childcare duties. An hour later we got a call from a friend who volunteers at the local vaccination centre. They had a large number of Pfizer jabs left over today, so invited us in for number two.
So half an hour later we were in the queue. Not quite as slick as Jab 1.......queuing outside for a while in the cold, and fewer rooms in use, but back home in well under the hour.
Another stiff arm.................

Good news Dave, we got the call last week to go in for our second jabs this morning at 09:20. Totally slick as before, in and out in under 15 min and following a short wait in the car as advised drove home for a celebration cuppa.
They clinic advised that they expect us to be called back for a booster in the Autumn but that’s still being discussed at higher levels.
Really pleased and can’t praise those wonderful people at the NHS enough (for this and the last 2 years in my case).

Got home this morning from three weeks offshore to find my vaccination appointment was two days ago...one short and easy phone call later and I'm booked in for 11.31 tomorrow. Slightly scary level of precision to the appointment time but does suggest the organisation is kind of impressive!
