Always undo the front fasteners of the hood first , and press down on the rear . That's exactly the opposite to what Henry Williams is saying in his youtube hood fitting video. He says always release the back before the windscreen fixings to avoid stressing and possibly cracking the screen.

This is correct and the way I have always done it. It's how we show those hiring cars at MMC.
