Must be more than 40 years since I went there. Or was it the Shuttleworth Collection? Maybe both...

I went to Duxford this year and whilst good there wasn't as much aeroplaney stuff as I hoped. (Obviously lots of static stuff but there's only so much you can take!) Best bits were the workshops.
Also thought the tickets were a bit uncharitable because there's no way you can comfortably see it in a day without getting what I call 'gallery malaise', whereby you could have 10 Picassos hanging up but because you've walked round all day you stop actually looking at anything! Should allow for re-admission within a month or something.
Totally separate to venue decision but I do highly recommend Ironbridge to anyone who hasn't been. Lots of good accommodation, food and plenty to see. Also - a rarity - good value for money.

I love plane workshops! I know what you mean about not seeing it all in a day though. Its a rather boring long drive for me to be tempted to go back within a short time period to see the rest....I long for the good old days when my friend and I use to fly there in his plane....the best way to arrive!!
The nice thing about the Heritage Motor Museum is that the ticket stays valid for further visits. I've got one from March which will still let me in !

I did look at Duxford some time ago for a TM visit but don't seem to be able to find the email.
Duxford operate a number of car shows during the year and from memory they have a spring show and a summer show. Only the summer one is on the Duxford website. Maybe if those interested are up for it we could organise a meeting in the spring / summer when the site is fully open.
That takes us back to Christmas and maybe we should run with Aeromans idea. Any thought and shall we start a list and consider some dates?

I second Aeromans suggestion - let's start a new thread, fix a date and generate a list of attendees:)
