I can only recommend visiting Cz.Krumlov. Lovely little town and a perfect area for Morgan tours. And Krumlov is located close to Budweis (Budejovice) with the famous brewery which must not be confused with US-Budweiser.

Budweis is nothing special besides of the brewery, so be careful with recommendations. Czesky Krumlov is adorable.
My personal opinion (and experience) only.

In the late 80's, I was on a return trip from India - we'd run out of cash so had to borrow money from a mate in Calcutta so we could pay the airport tax to leave the country. Flew from Delhi, to Kabul, two stops in Russia (Puskin? for an emergency stop where we were kept on the plane under armed guard for 4 hours) and then landed at Prague for another four hour wait for a connecting flight back to the UK. Me and my mate scraped togethr all the cash we had - it came to about £1.80. Went up to the bar - imagine our delight to find that Budvar was 16p a bottle.....

The airport and the price for beer has changed a lot since the 80's but beer is still affordable in CZ oldgit

The comments related to the American version (I nearly wrote gnats pee) of said beer. grin2

Brewed at I think 6 x strength & diluted is US Bud. That is why you have to drink it really cold. The high ethanol content leads to off flavours but obviously the accountants are happy.
