I definitely prefer the structural steel roll bar (temporarily removed in these pics of #13) to the thin steel hoops on the M3W; I do agree that the hoops look better but are not much for safety. My passenger in ACE #10 is also pretty petite wink

I'll also note that the rack (curious about no boots on #13) in front makes for light and precise steering, it also allows the engine's center of mass to be behind the front axel line for better weight distribution.

Let's not make this about ACE vs. M3W, as that really just distils to a personal opinion. cheers

ACE#13 here is really about an amazingly rare and exquisite machine, that is also a significant piece of 3-Wheeler history.

Here are some bonus pics from the seller of #13, in case anyone wonders why the garage room is needed...

Wow - looks amazing! Are you intending to use motorcycle tires for the final product or is that just for wheeling it around while under construction?

Those are the Michelin’s I’ll be using, with a bit lower air pressure for more tread on the ground. These tires and rims weigh less than the same size car tire w/o the rim....Lu2 weighs in at 850# with everything but fuel ( and me) . Lots of sticky rubber in the center too

The donor BMW K1600B is 741# wet, so i gained only 109# and 2 more wheels and 1 more brake ( inboard in the rear)

Yes, after 7 years of flawless riding enjoyment ( 6000 miles) Ace 13 has found a new home....in less than 12 hours on talk morgan.....a tribute to Pete Larson who brought the 3 wheeler back to the world

Getting to know Pete inspired me to try to build my own vehicle using tools and time and measurements from his Ace 13...thank you Pete.
