Well one I’d like an opinion on. Any rules of thumb on how much torque do you use on the circlip that holds the hoses onto the plastic radiators? Yep my cars top hose has developed a slight drip. Gave it a 1/4 turn which has almost stopped it. After a run & cool down just one drip yet to drip. Very minor but am loath to tighten the clip, any more in case I crack the rad. The drip only started a couple of days ago after nearly 10 years & 49000 miles. Guess at some point one of Simons Radiators ( other makes available) will give peace of mind.

Think I would be tempted to change the hose. Would think that after 10 years the rubber will have hardened and might have cracked.
Is the clip a Jubilee type, if not I would also change it for a Jubilee type as they spread the clamping pressure more evenly.

Bob, my opinion for what it is worth is that you are losing the battle and impressed that you reached 49k! I think the rad is made from glass filled nylon. That’s only good to around 110C before it loses its mechanical strength. The coolant exiting the cylinder head can reach that temp in my car. So perhaps when you tighten it, any tension is lost as the outlet deforms a little more when it next see’s very hot coolant. I thought about making up an internal ali anti-crush ring to go inside the outlet in mine so that I had something solid to tighten the hose clip against. I never did, in the end I bought one of those nice rads form Mr H.

I fitted a SiFab rad to my 2010 Roadster last month i could not be happier im in Dubai so efficient cooling is important, great piece of kit , very simple to fit and car is running around 10 degrees cooler.
