I have the stock 121”. I already have exhaust and air filter upgrade installed and obtained the 569 cams and an ECU from G56 which I have yet to install. Does anyone know if putting in a 58mm throttle body will help at all with this setup and if so by how much does it improve things? I’m guessing since KH and G56 don’t include the 58mm in their kits then no? I did read here though that Morgan included the 58mm in their stage 2.

In my opinion it all depends on what you want to do with your M3W, if like me you just drive the vehicle go on tours and occasionally do spirited driving on a track day, then freeing the engine with increased air flow and a bafflectomy plus upgrading plugs and leads with the other maintenance upgrades noted in TM is enough. Otherwise you are spending money for no real gain. I always say to people drive your Morgan first, enjoy it, whether 4 or 3 wheel take notes of what you want to do to improve to your ride, comfort, etc. otherwise you will waste a great deal of money, unless of course you just enjoy upgrading then go for it.

Yes the 58mm throttle body would undoubtebly help with ultimate power output given all the other mods you have, but at the expense of bottom end torque!

I asked S&S about this when I upgraded to Stage 2. They told me not to bother unless I was looking at Stage 3 (larger bore and highest lift/618 cams).

If you don't have the cylinder heads with the big valves with the upgraded valve lines plus 618 camshafts there is no point.

In addition S&S recommends driving without exhaust baffles with stage 3 to gain 100% benefit (transexual version)

Thanks for the help everyone. I’m gonna pass on the 58mm as I don’t plan to go beyond what I have.
