Whatever the actual numbers is in years (they quote 47), the indisputable fact is that oil reserves on our planet are finite. Sooner or later, we will have to face up to a world without oil. Now might be a good time to start the transition so that the remaining reserves can be used for the things that only they can be used for in their final 20-30 years instead of burning it all for transport that can be provided by other means.
