He was very unpopular down here whilst he was studying as a Midi, in town and college he played the mr big card, never goes down well here. He was in need of extra coaching to gain his passing out ticket.
Charlie on the other hand was a popular student both in the college and in the town at the time he was going through training. He was driving one of those ugly Aston's the wedgy black one at the time and you would see it around town on occasion.

Exactly the same sentiments in the Corps. Charlie was my helicopter pilot on exercise flying off the Rusty B, HMS Bulwark.

He has a wicked sense of humour. His job was to drop me and my boys ahead of the main landings to take out an enemy gun position, the load up on the flight deck is a very noisy, hectic dangerous environment with 8 helicopters their blades going at full speed. As the Stick Leader I keep my eyes on my assigned Stick Loader (the guys with the ping pong bats that direct you to your chopper and tell you when to go), when we came up to deck level on the lift from the hangar below it was clear which was my chopper. Charlie had his window open and was waving his Royal Standard out of it, he was a good pilot and landed me exactly where we were supposed to be.

Good experience, he seems quite normal for one of the exclusive club. At around twelve minutes in on tonights Spotlight todays proceedings feature and a mention of your lads preparation for Saturday. I noticed that the program expires at 1900 Zulu tomorrow.
