I always go for Shell V Power in my Morgan
The reason being, a good friend of mine is an architect that specialises in Petrol forecourts and he told me a few years ago that Shell were the only company at the time to replace all their filling station tanks to be absolutely moisture free to eliminate any water that can get into the fuel when being stored

This coupled with the additional lubricants means it’s the choice for me

The only issue is it can be on some forecourts be stupidly expensive so I make sure I know a few Shell garages on my regular runs where it’s at a sensible price

Any extra performance is a side issue and I probably wouldn’t notice it much the way I drive anyway

It’s only about protecting my engine with the hope it will help extend its life

As for the fuel, my gut feel is that it makes sod all difference and thats certainly what the various motoring program trials of fuels have shown. But if it gives you peace of mind and the extra costs doent matter to you, then why not buy whatever magic juice you fancy.

Personally I stick the cheapest fuel I can find in the Fezza -. At 15 mpg on a good day, its vital! Press the accelerator and it sounds like a flushing toilet.

I used to use standard supermarket petrol in my '94 +8 but I have switched to Shell V power. There is a long straight road into our village with a good incline. Put the pedal to the metal and it would 'pink' like mad. With V power it just keeps pulling till you run out of road! Need I say more?
