Short run to Ammanford and back yesterday. Rear brakes squeaked a bit so when we gothome I let the car cool down and went out again. No squeaks. The moral of the story? Go out again to keep things moving!

Enjoyed a sunny, but cold, scenic drive around the Surrey Hills on ‘Drive It Day’. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/04/27/52E800D3-ED43-4A1B-9250-51817A0E14D8.jpg) A few of us parked up at Etherley Copse for a picnic break....... Lots of classic cars, motor bikes and steam traction vehicles out, with waving and smiling at every passing - except for the couple in the old Bentley, who simply “nodded” 🥴!

A run out to the boars at Spooners Row in Norfolk. Great fun & some spirited driving down the windy back roads. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/04/28/20210428_122720.jpg)

Dirk - I hope those balconies are properly built - they look like the type of balconies that collapsed in Los Angeles when the attachments of the wood rotted - resulted in the death of some Irish teenagers on work visas. I assume that German builders are of a higher standard, but a good survey on a regular basis would be good!!!
Cheers! Hi Robbie, There is no wood in the structure of these balconies. The frame is made of galvanized steel and is secured in the concrete floor of the apartment. The deck is made of wood and the railings are glass. The brown pieces are made of a special metal "Cor-ten steel" or "Wheatering steel" that only rusts on the surface.

First visit to the golf club yesterday. Just a practice session on putting and chipping. Good to meet up in person rather than our Whatsapp group. I even picked up £10 winnings from my last game in November! Put the money into my account there ready to pay for new golf shoes. Lovely short drive, wearing shorts, polo, shortsleeved golf top. Took a longer route home and arrived just before a HEAVY downpour but I had the tonneau cover on so my clubs in the passenger well were protected anyway. Back to playing next week. Just off to soak my balls in bleach to clean them ready.

From the last sentence I'm worried you might be taking covid precautions just a little too far .... I'm sure washing your hands will be sufficient. 🙂

K +1 Taking advantage of the weather we made a long loop heading east through Carshalton towards Biggin Hill then south to Oxted and back through Redhill. Plenty fo traffic to stall progress otherwise it was great to be out and about although it is still difficult to find a place to have coffee or lunch and so we wait a little longer to stretch out a bit. Our hope last weekend was to take the Morgan to Wales to interview a puppy, (he got the job) but the breeder and the B&B owner both advised us not to risk the lanes and respective driveways and so we took the Forester. They were right. The driveway up to our accommodation tested the Subaru, steep, rocky and loose marbles had the all wheel drive system fully concentrated. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/05/01/Puppy.jpg)

A pleasant 70 mile round trip up to Ambergate to test out a pub in preparation for a DonMog outing in June when the pub might let us sit indoors!
Even the M1 is more pleasant in a Morgan.
