A few of us had a drive down to Wye, near Canterbury, to do a circular walk published in last month’s Kent Life magazine. Very windy at the top of the North Downs above The Wye Crown; interesting exploring the village of Wye; then great views back up to the North Downs on the return leg of the walk.

Inevitably, a celebratory (small) glass of wine at the end!

Yesterday (11 May) was dry and bright so we went to Hinton Ampner NT to meet friends for a wander round the gardens and to enjoy a PicNic lunch in the park.
Tarka performed flawlessly, 80 miles of joy.

But I made 1 mistake... didn't take the sun block cream and now I have a sun burnt face...
So, for all those returning to the roads in a Morgan, remember the Factor 50!!

.......and for the rest of us it was four went to Dunwich, a little south of Southwold. Great fish and chips at the beach side cafe but we missed out on pub due to chatting too much earlier frown. Beautiful sun later for breezy walk along beach but as John suggests a tad chilly nearest the sea.

I took a neighbour to Salisbury Cathedral for her 2nd Covid Jap.
Parked and noticed a film set....

So I walked over to see a young lady being filmed... I could her her lines.

They were recording the introduction for "Songs of Praise" which will be shown on 6th June.
Who is the young lady with a big smile and seductive voice?
Kathleen Jenkins, I think.
Does anyone know for sure?

We paid a visit to Hole Park Gardens, about a mile down the road from Chris Booth's 3 wheeler museum at Rolvenden, yesterday. The bluebells on the woodland walk were spectacular and said to be among the best displays in the country. I usually drop into Chris's when in the area, but the road outside the museum is littered with roadworks and temporary traffic lights with nowhere to park currently.

I would say so. Though why they need a lifebelt baffles me
