My exhaust bobbins were starting to look a little grubby. So I decided to repaint the brackets with a primer coat, and a anti corrosion mat black top coat.

I chose a slightly different colour for the bobbins though oops

Looks good whats the part number and supplier for the bobbins, existing rubber bobbins just dont last...they have 5/16 threads and al components are mild stell and rust very quickly.

The 2 metal support brackets are available in stainless steel from librands

Where possible I fit stainless nuts bolts and washers on all exhaust components.

Are the U bolts / Exhaust clamps stainless and the nuts? All the underbody components really do get corrosion easily...

Bobbins part number GEX 7251 eBay

Exhaust U clamps are not stainless, only the washers, but maybe next time I’ll change them all to stainless. I did clean it all with ACF50 before refitting

Sifab offer 30mm stainless bobbins Rob. 54mm stainless U clamps here.

ETA: no mention of the bobbins Craig used as being stainless!

Those Stainless U bolts are a good price Richard but the standard 54mm / 2 1/8" size isnt listed.
