For those that have mounted brooklands screens on their Three Wheelers, how did you mount them? Just bolted through the cowl? any backing plates or structure added underneath?
Thanks

Same here , bolted through the cowl . or the bulkhead the original perspex screen fit into. It is a surprisingly robust aluminium section , could even be a casting ?
I fitted home made large aluminium washers on the underside for peace of mind in case someone uses excessive force on the screen.

I also fitted rubber rain strips in the slots left by the removed original screens.
These are shaped to match the originals below the cowl , and project 5 or 6 mm above it.
These work surprisingly well and stop rain coming off the bonnet onto your lap.

Do you have pictures of your setup?

Some random snaps that give a reasonable impression.
I do have some close ups, will post when I find them

Fabulous job on your Brooklands screens. I have considered installing as well, but was not convinced on the oval shape of the glass. Your rectangular ones, paired to the rear-view mirror, give the machine a classic look.
With your forbearance, I will copy not only the windscreens, but the treatment you gave to your front wheel guards. With your interior, the overall essence is one of a genuine classic.
I would appreciate it if you could disclose a source for the rectangular windscreens.

Never mind the aero screens, we all want to know what the lever does to the left of the speedo!
PS: nicely done, BTW.

Rectangular Brooklands screens are commonly available.

I cant remember where I got mine, it was at least 5 years ago I fitted them , but just googling I found these which look identical :

Its a hairy experience driving at speed with them unclipped, not recommended but I had to try it once, but with a nice rake angle they send most of the airflow over the top and I think look pretty cool.

The pull handle works an air horn - impractical in reality as a safety feature and horn but the grandkids love it so it has been on almost since day one.

Great looking car Nippymog and beautiful patina on the cockpit leather. Do you get more spray from the cutdown front mudguards?
