I saw a +4 once that had a modified octagonal wheel nut holding the spare wheel in place. I preferred that look, to the two eared spinner being shown. It would also offer a degree of added security.

Bud 4/4 - Stanley This one? I did this to my previous car that had oct spinners. I posted it up on tm a long time ago. A slightly different arrangement but uses a stainless security bolt. ![[Linked Image]](https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/5mh6kio6v9m0zk2/spinner7.jpg)

Very similar, but the one I saw was on a Connaught Green +4. Very neat job. Bud 4/4 - Stanley

Bud 4/4 - Stanley Security is all very well, but when I went to assist a fellow Morganeer who had suffered a puncture, I found that he had secured the spare with a steel cable and padlock. The padlock was so corroded as to be impossible to unlock with the key. Someone else then came along with a pair of cutters, but impossible to cut the hardened cable! So RAC had to come to the rescue, delaying the journey by almost two hours!

Really liked Rog’s idea so went for it myself. I don’t have eared spinners so wanted to match, except the eagle eyed will notice this nut doesn’t have the Morgan logo. Also went for the stainless steel bolt option. Slight variation had some ply and with a hole saw cut a piece to fit buried in the epoxy. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/05/15/44CFCF2C-2B49-47E4-8FEC-50633B6D4449.md.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/05/15/43295C5B-BCE2-4FF2-9DBC-DA9E0A10D63D.md.jpg)

That’s a neat job Tim I do like the plywood centralizer. That’s a much cleverer solution. But 9:30.....! And with one poster already reprimanded
