The CX seats from a breaker on eBay are navy blue not black - just a heads up!
I cant remember if the seats reclined in my last Caterham, they would fit width wise.

Cobra make seats for the Caterham but they don't recline.
Not too bothered about the colour as I can dye them, I've done that before with some success

What is wrong with your existing seats - just too upright ?
Do you have to get reclining seats or would another type of fixed seat be an option ?

My preferred driving position has always been more reclined than most. Mainly do to my odd shape - short legs, long body. Our day cars have to have memory seats as our driving positions are so different. Nearly every car I've had in the lat 40 years has had reclining seats and I've had well over 100 cars!
I've managed to adapt the Morgan seats to give something like a decent position but recliners would definitely be a better and more comfortable solution. I find I get a lot of neck and shoulder ache after driving for more than a couple of hours.I'm not desperate but would like to find a better solution.

I emailed the seller of those cx seats and asked for the dimensions. He said they are in storage so he can't measure them. The new cars are much wider, I can't imagine they would fit but maybe someone going to the factory could measure for you..? Nick

The Sparco seats that are usually used racing are Rev and they are 455mm wide. They just fit with a bit of minor trimming to the rolled edge just at the front.
None of the OMP, Sparco, Cobra or Recaro reclining seats are this narrow width with the narrowest being 500mm.
On the fixed back seats however, I’ve had good results with the side mounts which allow considerable recline (short legs, long arms). And have the benefit of feeling like you are sat “in the car” not “on the car”. Not an ideal answer but unfortunately the realities of the Morgan cabin/chassis design.

I’ve messaged them too with n response.
Mine are 390mm wide with maybe 10mm wriggle took either side. I made the MX5seat base 400mm and it just fit in the gap between the tunnel and the sills. No way would 455mm fit.
