Hello everybody.

I am trying to find out more information about the dash that is fitted to my F4.

It has a Smiths x53289/3 gauge which has a clock, fuel and oil pressure display.

I would be grateful for any help.

Unfortunately the forum software is over helpful in putting in the image tags and link prefix for you so they appear twice and images don't display . Have edited your post below to correct and display full size.

Ducmon, they look non original to an early F4, which would only have a speedo, it would be too luxurious for a Morgan to have fuel, oil press and a clock fitted originally, but they do look 'of period' from another classic

My '49 F Super only has a speedo & an oil pressure (fitted much later in it's life)

Defiantly Morris 8. Main gages transposed and clock instead of gear shift diagram. It even has the "hood" that covers the windscreen opening mechanism on a Morris 8

Thank you very much.

I know that this not an original part but I like the look of it and as the car is for driving and not for competition at shows. I am happy to keep it as it is.

The fuel tank has a sender fitted and I can hopefully get the fuel gauge to work.

I think you will find that the Morris 8 series E had a dedicated fuel sender. It was also a 6 volt so hooking it up to the Morgan sender may not work
