By "repeaters" I thought you meant the lights in the instrument to show that your indicators are in operation, the dashboard light. Forgot that a few overseas markets have additional indicator lights on the side of the car.

I suspect that the current sensing circuitry is so that a bulb failure lamp can inform the driver that something is amiss, and that is likely to be aimed at a foreign market where it is mandatory! Is there any mention of bulb failure in the Manual?

No mention of a bulb failure lamp in my 2013 manual. Not heard of this on any M3W, unless it is one of the Euro 4 mods?

I have just fired up the VSS simulator and apart from a short circuit: I blobbed some solder on the board to stick it onto my main chassis and inadvertently shorted out the speed signal ;-( it works and confirms the 7 second indicator timeout when the frequency is above 11Hz.

I've been following this thread from 'afar' but have suddenly developed a keen interest having found that my indicators are lighting up correctly but not attempting to flash. I haven't read of anyone else experiencing these symptoms but presumably it's got to be another manifestation of gremlins in the TSM so may I too, add my name to the waiting list for Alister's magic box. And while we're thinking of other M3W problems in need of his attention, surely, near the top of the list must be the development of a working fuel gauge!

YES PLEASE ! How is it activated? Run a separate wire from the sender in the tank, very easy to do. Put a fuse splitter on a circuit of your choice, I might have used the horn circuit, there you have it. If you really want to do it right then put in the longer sending unit into the tank. The MMC issued one is 250mm long and swap it out for a 280mm one. I disconnected the MMC sending unit wire on the sender so it no longer reads digitally on the tach. I considered using both but there might be an impedance error since another load would be put in parallel with the load of the analog gauge.
