It would seem that the weak pound is contributing more to exceptional profits for MMC or the french importer rather than providing attractive pricing to french punters. For reasons best known to Morgan the LHD price list is higher than the RHD price list. I think it averages at about 4 to 5%. The RHD 4/4 Sport, for example, is listed at £25,745.83 plus VAT and the LHD version is £26,800.00 plus VAT. Even optional extras have a higher price despite the fact that they are identical for left or right hookers. The only thing that I can think is that this is to support the additional transport costs. It is true that the Pound has lost heavily against the Euro in 2008-2009 but since then it has levelled out. Also VAT varies a little from country to country. They have just put it up to 21% in Italy in a move designed to help businesses suffering from the economical downturn.

So at that price it would make sense to consider 2nd hand Aero or original Plus 8! If body and chassis are already available ,which are the main design and investment costs how come the price moves into that kind of territory?
Still after all that it looks a great car !

Hmmm that price is close to the price of the perfect beauty of the Aeromax by the time you have chosen a paint colour. Okay not that close but if you can seriously consider spending that much then whats another organ to get to the cost a pre-drooled AeroMax
I must say it is a good move if it is the Series IV chassis and a V8 auto as they have a big gap in the range.
Looks like the perfect choice for someone who loves the trad style and I can understand that.
Yummy.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Look great, but love my Maxie. I am sure there will be a market though so will watch with interest.
Now if you can put the Eva straight 6 in it and create a modern 4 seater convertible I could get a bit excited....
-------------- Maxxed out!

Don't think it's that expensive compared to production line weekend cars.

Looks better than I expected. But will they really sell enough to recover the cost of the superform tooling?
