Following an over enthusiastic track day at Blyton my engine is making a horrible knocking sound. It came home on a trailer & I fear something serious.
Can anyone recommend someone within striking distance of West Yorkshire ?

Crankshaft nuts have been known to loosen allowing the Centa compensator to rattle on the splines, Phil Bleazey can fix this he is in Lancaster http://www.bleazey.co.uk/M3WKIT.html

This occurred to me. The sound fooled me. Check out for cracks on the chassis on the front end where the engine is mounted. At idle it is horrible as the motor is trying to leave the building! It smoothes out at high revs.
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.
