Yes, it's worth spending a bit of time on it when you get a chance. I had the same complaint when I fitted my G56 system and actually contacted G56 to let them know. It was only when I recently spent some time adjusting the headers that I got it all to fit perfectly. There is actually a surprising amount of adjustment available once the headers are loosened.

The LH cylinder is a big end width further forward than the RH cylinder, so that the same components can be used for LH and RH sides. The header pipes on my 2013 car were the same length and the RH one needed a trim off the end of about 20mm to allow the new G56 system to fit correctly without stressing the mounts when I fitted it.
