I can highly recommend the Hotel Lecco. Right on the water front next to the ferry stop. The only downside is the underground car park entrance can scrape the car bottom.

Just down the road from Gambalunga I think (formerly of this parish - hope he returns one day). You go past on the train from Milan to Varenna

This is one of the uglier buildings and was still built during the communist area.
It always reminds me of the Polish Zloty inflation rate in the late 80's

It's somewhere in Warsaw and commemorates a 100 years of Poland's independence.
That's all I can find out about it on Google I'm afraid. No idea what the building is called.
