Quick update. I have now balanced my wire wheels using the Smoothride cones on a standard machine. I have weights inside and out for both static and dynamic balancing. I fitted the Mulfab Brake Reaction bars and their hydraulic damper. The car drives beautifully although the steering is a little heavy at low speeds. It may be the sum of each mod, but the biggest improvement came with the balancing. If anybody within driving distance of me, bottom right bit of France, wants to use the cones…just ask.
