You can see that my catch tank for the fuel gas looks different from yours. Mine is more round. But there is no filter there either. The only possibility would be if the filter is in the tank. But how do you change it?

That is the view from behind the fuel Tank. Line 9 is going from the Tank ( fuel pump) directly to the Injetor rail. The return is coming from trottle body and is going direct to the catch tank.

I wonder if someone has resited it for ease of changing it Dani, on my earlier 1999 Plus8 for instance the standard place for it is under the bonnet where access is easy.

Hi Richard. Nobody has changed anything on the car. It is strange. I've seen so many assembly defects on this car. I think this was installed by a rookie at Morgan. But now in this case, what can I do. Can I leave the lines as they are and just put a filter in the line? that goes to the injection system? I could write a long list of incorrectly fitted parts. on my 4/4 Sport.

Hi Dani, it does seem strange that you have no filter fitted and as you say it really is essential, so I guess you have to fit one somewhere that's easy to change. I can't see any reason why a filter upstream of the injection system could not be fitted. This is similar to mine. I'm sorry your car has been a bit unfinished, as you know it's a part of the Morgan experience but no fuel filter is a fairly serious miss, good luck with fitting one and enjoy your kilometres.

I doubt there is a filter inside the tank. Some cars do have the pump in there though! My suggestion is to fit a filter between the tank and the pump. It will then also protect the pump. It will then be on the low pressure side too. You can position it for easier access to change in the future. Another option is to fit one under the bonnet in the line feeding the injectors. It is VERY strange that there is no filter in the system. Injection systems need clean fuel to prevent injector problems.

I would suggest it is there. The morgan parts book shows it as posted earlier. It is the rear side of the tank normally near the woodwork for the spare wheel. On the sport how do you access the fog & reversing lights? If you know how to get it there you should be able to access the filter

Still quite a tight squeeze though ? ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/07/09/AA2A6A9E-A105-495D-9AFB-5DB9E803E05F.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/07/09/F6960CCC-9346-4787-B347-95A63E3BA44F.jpg)
