Having not been able to escape the endless replays of the goals I have to say the Danish free kick was the only one worthy of note, it was a crafted kick demanding great skill. The least said about the Danish own goal and Kanes diabolical penalty the better.. God help England on Sunday I'm predicting a 2 - 1 to Italy win after lots of rolling around on the floor the Italians are Masters of the craft...

I want a rebate on my TV licence. BBC uses both channels for sport and normal schedules disrupted. I therefore assume theythink we are a nation of football, tennis addicts. Even many non sport stuff seems to jump on the bandwagon. I’ve run out of recordedTV programs to watch instead. Luckily the cricket, Lions tour ( if it continues), golf are accessible! I have been enjoying youtube though. Old Grey Whistle Test, old comedies, historic car racing.....

Denmark was completely exhausted from minute 60 on. What I liked most about the game was a Peter Schmeichel of whom his father can be very proud. Let's hope for an exciting final between two great teams. What I find a bit un-British, though, is that pain-distorted faces can be seen at small touches and loud screams echo through the stadium. And we were allowed to witness some miraculous healings after a minute, so that some agnostics find their way back to the Christian faith. But the Italians can do that too when it counts.

So Richard, did you actually watch the whole match or only the replays of the goals? If you watched the whole match you would have seen an England team who thoroughly deserved the victory regardless of the slightly dodgy penalty decision. There was another occasion where England should have been awarded a penalty but were not. And the own goal was the result of a brilliant build up from England and if the Danish player hadn't put it in the net, Sterling certainly would have. BTW, the Danish goal should have been disallowed as Danish players were too close to the English wall and unsighted Pickford. And you say "God help England" based on what? The goal highlights???

My wife has just said you'd better take a look at the free kicks the Italians take and study them.

Yes, I didn't watch the match too busy enjoying the empty roads as I shall be Sunday evening, these opportunities seldom come around. The Italians will change up a few gears and fall around the place and scrape home the win I'm sure, at my age I have suffered far too many England defeats to bother any more tbh but I'm not a football fan at all just like the majority of my friends. I wish them all the luck in the world Bob and I'm sure you and Peter will enjoy the experience. The Danish own goal and the dodgy penalty call influenced my prediction quite a lot but you boys know your subject so we'll see what happens.

Heinz, I think that is a very constructive suggestion.
We should pass it on to Gareth Southgate.

Bob, I am glad if I was helpful with my suggestion. For Southgate and his soccer team, watching Italian free kicks will enrich their preparations. It's a good thing I made this suggestion at the last moment.

I like to think (pray) we have a pretty good chance on Sunday. Hopefully its an open game and the Italians don't revert to their old tactics of 11 men in the 18 yard box after half time. Personally I'm more than happy that the team got to the final
