Thanks for the advice. I think I have worked out what the purpose is of the thin wire from the from the hot side of the battery isolator switch. This must be the power feed for the immobiliser, am I correct?

Blooming heck, I've had mine since 2015 and have never had an immobilizer fob, like you I use the isolator key all the time. Has anyone had intermittent problems related to the immobiliser module at all, I am chasing an intermittent fault and could do with eliminating this unit.
