Curiously, for a car advertised as being owned for 6 years, the most recent V5 was issued in 2019 - could be a house move I suppose.
Yes the whole history being veiled gives you an uneasy feeling, so why would you take the risk when legit one's are out there, it's not as if you are buying an old Micra is it.. As he professes to be a Morgan owner of 30 years he hasn't learnt much about prospective purchasers or the owners grapevine.

I bought an xr2i once for the wife it was two year old and mint, we had some water ingress from the factory fit sunroof the drain holes were blocked. After some investigation we were told the car had a new second hand roof fitted fairly recently, there was no cat against the car but when we sold it a couple of years later I felt I had to tell the garage which cost me and they traded it out.

The Cat D is recorded against a White 2012 Plus 8, reg AA08MOG Recorded where though? Is there somewhere else where this info comes to light apart from DVLA (who apparently don’t need to be told anyway)? Also, I thought the Berrybrook one referred to was a new plus 6, as was the one in Miscellany.

I think it would have been wise to explain the Cat D given the price has been set against that.
It would be an awkward moment when the potential new owner went to get an insurance quote prior to the purchase and got the information that the car was a Cat D.
More likely to dump the potential of a sale?
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
