Nothing like a nice sunset image with a Morgan in it, thanks for posting yours Richard. I too have a few such images taken some time back, old pics proving to be popular I thought you might like this one, even though the quality is poor. Each to their own but as Dave W suggests early mornings around my area is quite the best time to find reduced traffic and more so these days in that it seems the UK masses have been forced to discover their locality, strange that they may have travelled to places as far apart as Cancun and Pukhet, but may not even have walked to the top of the local parks hill...For sure the Covid effect has had the effect of robbing those of us who enjoyed the luxury of those quiet corners to ourselves, but we will just have to get used to it I guess.... Fortunately the masses like to sleep, thus the Early mornings work best for me in this part of the world... GordonD, unusually you seem not to be paying attention... I am Luddite by name and Luddite by nature, though in truth my tendencies are more...err..selective Luddite, you are forcing me to admit that I have a mobile phone as well as the GoPro, I sense that my street cred is being undermined somewhat... That which you suggest would seem to be THE answer Gordon.... Sigh! THANKS. (-: ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/07/18/West-Coast-Sunset.jpg)

we won't be straying far apart from UK holidays and visiting the three youngsters and families. ...more people should holiday in the UK I think. No, let them go. Means it is quieter for those of us who are happy to holiday here

You are right I think we have to learn to share more now in the hope that it may help some of these devastated hospitality businesses to rebuild with British money now reinvested. I do agree with Graham's sentiment though seeing the great unwashed is none too attractive

No, you can't beat a lovely January sunset run over Dartmoor and back... I always prefer evening runs. There is a place for both ends of the day, but having retired 6 years ago the 0500 get ups are a thing of history nowadays and having time to smell the roses is [quote=+8Rich] No, you can't beat a lovely January sunset run over Dartmoor and back... Pleased you liked that pic Richard, that one is a bit older than yours as I took it in 2002, just South of Oban. Given there seems to be some interest, I will attach another from the same year, the location of which was also South of Oban, though quite a bit further South.. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/07/19/MSM.jpg)

We went on a Hopmog picnic to Chiddingstone Castle in Kent yesterday. Cracking day out and a line up of 31 Morgans. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/07/19/IMG_1474.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/07/19/IMG_1472.jpg)

Went for a picnic up in the Lakes, found a deserted beach near Ravenglass with a great added attraction. The MOD use it for shooting experimental shells out to sea. Once the coast was clear of shipping etc a shell was fired towards the Isle of Man, you could hear it travel out to sea until it landed on the water with a puff of black smoke to the right of the Isle of Man and then the returning sound wave hits you a few seconds later. Unfortunately, repeat firing was delayed for some time whilst a yacht sailed clear of the area. Apparently the Isle of Man residents plus the locals are quite used to this. Made for a very interesting and unusual day, for the first time I could fully understand and relate to scenes in war movies with people being able to hear an incoming shell, and what it sounds like.
