Chaps, I can't believe I'm the first to post about George Russell's brilliant drive ( perhaps I've missed it somewhere ) Shame the fairy tale didn't totally deliver but what a fantastic race.
Now, to complete the story what we need is for George to drive the Merc again next week and Lewis to drive the Williams car and we would then be able to judge how much is car and how much is the driver. We know how much is the car and how much the driver. Lewis was just ahead of Bottas in the Merc and Verstappen was just ahead of Perez in the RB. Both pairs of drivers were way ahead of all the others, as much as a second per lap. Behind these 4 were drivers like Vettel, Alonso, the Ice Man. F1 is primarily a competiton between technical departments.

Sundays race in Austria was a good one I feel. Not only for the fact that RB are giving MB a good going over but for the brilliant come back drive by Charles after his silly mistake on lap one. All Ferrari need now is a chassis as good as RB and and engine as good as MB and they will be all set. By the by, did anyone else notice Carlos chatting to Toto, surely he isn't fed up already? Looking forward to next weekend already.

So, why when we have many potential British sports cars to use and Silverstone with all it's history, do we get three Porsches pratting about in a (waste of time) pre race feature ?

Ok I will dive right in and say that today's British GP at Silverstone was one of the best races in one of the best seasons I can remember. We could argue all night about the Lewis/Max stoush but in the end, and in the beginning, this was a great race on a great circuit on a perfect day.

+1 Kerry, a Masterclass in "racing incident" from Lewis and catching up the 10 seconds, end of story + the added bonus that he has laid a seed of doubt in the Max head that all is not always as it seems when they race aggressively.
Bring on the rest of the season, can't wait for it to unfold.
Jon, I can't be enduring the waffle and theorising so I always record it and slip through it all and just enjoy the racing itself.
