UPU 2 on a Red Porker Turbo in the 1980's..

COM1C on Jimmy Tarbuck's old Merc was a good one too back in the 1960's.

Local to me used to be MAV15 .... sadly not a name much used these days .... but it might come back to boost the value.

Also local but not seen for a long while MCC 1 ...... nice plate for a cricketer

Saw BIG 130Y down in Yorkshire ... the 1 and 3 were shuffled up next to each other

K

As an aside, there's a local MCC .... with the 'M' standing for Methlick rather than Marylebone .... their pitch in the village is called 'Lairds' .... which is doubly apt as the local Laird lets them have the field on a peppercorn rent

Since the subject matter has popped up, how does one go about having the Morgan manufacturer label on the number plate fixed into replacement license plates- do they have to be made by MMC, or dealers, or is the image stock and available to number plate producers?

I would hazard a guess that it was MMC that made them.

I believe the rules are that the licence plate maker has to put their registered mark on the bottom to show where it was made in case it is illegal to allow it to be traced.

You can buy show plates from many places on the interweb which will insert various images and logos on the plate but these officially remain illegal if stopped.

O BO110X.

I'd heard some while this existed and saw it on a Range Rover when returning from Brooklands Morgan day a few years back.

.... and

FA13 MOG
It's on polished aluminium M3W with pink interior affectionately known as Lady Penelope (hence the FAB) owned by a Hopmog member .

Back in the late 90's I'd stopped at an Aire in Northern France for a leg stretch and a fag before getting back on the bike. A 'family tinbox' pulled in with the registration C18BNP. I was half expecting some skinhead bovver boy to be driving, but was some old cotton top and his family. Very daring.

Just done a DVLA Check and it's still in existance on a 1999 Citroen. Probably a Vichy Picasso.....
