Simply called the Plus 3 ? I reckon price will start with a 5 and that's before the essential options...a bit less than the starting price of a Plus 4 due to missing wheel...

Hello everyone,
For the last couple of months I have been asking everyone I come into contact with (around MMC) about the new M3W.
This is just my current feeling, based on all the little 'bits' I've got
Ford Ecotec 1.0 3 cylinder - water cooled, turbo Fully enclosed under bonnet Wider front track - with car type tyres Rear wheel drive Rear disc brake Longer o/all than previous
The prototypes are being tested now - performing really well, much improved handling & brakes (Millbrook). Fact - I have spoken to people around this testing who confirm its all going really well.
Lets hope it comes in a little lighter than before - don't know if this will be possible with a water cooled engine?
I think a plus point is that the Ford engine is readily available, spares should be cheap and is made in UK. Should be good for circa 120hp.
Must have some sort of bevel drive - if so, lets hope it is better sorted than the current arrangement.
Hope we will hear something definitive from MMC soon.
What do you think/know?
Thanks Andrew
So, they’re building a vanderhall? Meh The Vanderhall is a front wheel drive trike. The new ACE 2.0 is a rear drive with mid-engine basically repurposed Gold Wing from the motor rearward. I hope that the MMC does a better job of maintaining the essence of Charles Morgan's vision from the early 20th century. I do like the ideas of the Vanderhall and the ACE 2.0, but they do lack that image of days gone by. This is one of few positives that MMC got right with the M3W. My opinion only guys, just thinking out loud...
Dan

Without the engine exposed it loses its appeal to me and to then increase the cost it is adding insult to injury.
The light at the end of the tunnel is actually a train. 2019 M3W

The exposed engine Morgan’s were always considered three sporting ones. The F4 types considered utilitarian. Perhaps the new 3/3 will have 4 seats.

Can't see a 4 seater being that popular. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/04/08/33C056C5-391A-41C8-A9C8-0C747DFD3E56-2.png)

I think Pete Larson has always been bang on the button with his designs & foresight and I’m hopeful that the new Morgan three wheeler will be equally as interesting as the new ace

Hello, No one appears to have commented on weight distribution. From the spy photo the engine appears to be behind front axle, sporty three wheelers need centre of gravity between front wheels, hence their engines being in front of axle. The point at which disaster occurs can be put off by lengthening wheelbase and widening track (in line with recent reports from Millbrook) but what size car do you end up with? I know F4 had this arrangement, but they were only 24bhp.....

Car type wheels, that won't look very classic if it isn't for narrow vintage tires. I am sceptical.

Legislation means so much is not possible.
The fun police are becoming ever more stringent.
So many regs that prevent a designers imagination from doing its thing.
