Yesterday I went up to Middle Aston in Oxfordshire from Surrey to see an old friend for lunch, 170 mile round trip mostly motorway driving. The Plus 4 purred along at 3000 revs, around 70mph more or less. With the hood down the roar of traffic, road noise and the wind thumping around made it all quite exciting.
I have noticed before that the roads around this part of Oxfordshire are fairly well maintained in the main, with some broken surfaces and potholes largely contained in the villages, plus, traffic is much lighter than Surrey and roads are free of trees making them fair game for some nice quick driving once off the M40.
The odometer ticked over 6000 miles in our ownership, now still only 10800 in total with the car coming up 12 years old. Both the engine and gearbox are really on song now and run beautifully, the engine revs freely right up to 7000, with only a little additional vibration between 4500 and 5000.

At Runnymede on the return journey trying to avoid the tortuous Heathrow section of the M25

A bit repetitive I know, I was by myself so no portraits or action footage.

Took the 4/4 up to Upton for service and MoT today. Brought it home again. Not many miles! Only managed 400 between MoTs in the last 12 months...
Must use it more to MMC factory tours.

Hey Kevin
I have no experience of a 4 seater but looking at the folded down hood, doesn’t the wind catch it where it sticks out?

Yesterday - a splendid day out at Belvoir Castle with DonMog.

Today, a day out to Hapton (near Norwich) for a Redwings board meeting - 277 miles round trip.
Lots of dual carriageway and some A1M but a trouble free journey made much more pleasant by driving it in the 4/4.

It’s been a busy week for the car - today takes it to a tad over 800 miles in 7 days.

Yes! It provides quite an effective wind break. If I had thought ahead a bit more the tonneau would have been a good choice as it wraps up the untidy bits. I may Start using it a little more as during the summer I hardly have the hood up and the flapping puts strain on the hood studs. In fact, I might go and do that now.

I always use my tonneau cover, covering 3/4 of the cockpit.

I would definitly recommend it.

Short run yesterday over to Mumbles. Verdi’s for a focaccia filled with ham, mozarella, tomatoes followed by an ice cream sundae.
Saw a bright green Lambo on the way. Luckily I had sunglasses on!

Well since we are renovating the house there is no time for Morgan trips.

But that doesn't mean the Morgans aren't being used.
