In the dry yes. In Kenya I had to be lucky with my raised Peugeot 504 on the muddy dirt roads.

If they can sell them at a profit and get media attention then all is well except MMC I believe is down to just two products(bike and beer etc not withstanding) from say five.
Just wondering if properly expanding the model range should be a priority?

I agree with you, I think the new three wheeler must be getting close to release unless I have lost sight of the ball which is more than likely.

If they can sell all their production with no problem, and keep below the magic 999 units per year, then I would think a good strategy is to have the minimum amount of models as that way they can reduce production costs and maximise their margins. That then frees up design and development to work on special projects like CX-T to provide some really high margin cachet models to go for the really well-heeled buyers who want something different and don't mind coughing for it.

Hi Tim, I'm sure I read in an MMC press release some time ago that they are looking to grow to 1,400 (?) cars a year. Is 999 a magic number for compliance issues? John

Is 999 a magic number for compliance issues? I thought that 1,000 cars per year marked the boundary for low-volume type approval, but it looks like I'm wrong, according to this: https://www.vehicle-certification-a...proval/national-type-approval-in-the-uk/the type approval limit is 1500, which would explain why you read they are looking to go to 1400. Either way, I still think that keeping the model range as small as possible makes sense for MMC - although having said that a Plus Four 4 seater would be nice!

That's good news indeed with the new 3 wheeler waiting in the wings.

Apologies if this has been mentioned but it's quite interesting how the back end of the T looks ripe for a rebirth of a 4 seater. The lines look much like the last version so perhaps this is a preview of things to come...
